United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Information about the UNs Global Goals
In 2015 the United Nations along with all of the nation states formed what are known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The purpose of these global goals is to overcome most of the world’s greatest needs by 2030. There are 17 goals but they are all related to three subject areas: 1: Climate Change. 2: Poverty. 3: Inequality. Within these three areas are a huge number of global needs and purposes.
Global Goals ESL website
Global Goals ESL is a website created by Raymond Van Neste and is dedicated to the United Nations Global Goals and to education. Both Global Goals ESL and English with Raymond work in unity.
Nearly all of the lessons or posts on the blog at English with Raymond have a Global Goal theme. This means that there are many different lesson themes related to: inequality / poverty / climate change for example.
English with Raymond will continue sometimes to use the themes to assist with the learning of English language. Also, the themes used in the lessons highlight the importance of the current work of the United Nations.
